Regenerative Catalytic Oxidizers

PEI regenerative catalytic oxidizers (RCOs) are custom-designed to catalytically convert pollutant-laden process exhaust streams into CO2 and water vapor. PEI’s RCO systems are ideal solutions for abating VOCs (volatile organic compounds), HAPs (hazardous air pollutants) and/or odors.

Meet compliance requirements with a PEI RCO. Achieve destruction/removal efficiency (DRE) levels of 99%. RCO systems use precious metal catalyst for operation in the 600°F-800°F range depending on the specific process. RCO designs emit less CO and thermal NOx than do RTOs.

Regenerative heat exchange canisters are packed with heat transfer media. For RCO systems a layer of specially designed catalyst is added. All designs recover 90% to 95% of the available energy. For solvent loadings less than 4% LEL, RCOs are recommended.
Turnkey. PEI will provide total project responsibility from emission characterization and evaluation, assistance in permiting the process through system design, fabrication, installation, start-up, performance testing to permanent total enclosures (PTEs) and emission collection systems. Your needs are met while maintaining single-source responsibility.
